Field-service software is a five-figure decision for most HVAC and plumbing shops once you count subscriptions, setup, and the weeks your team spends relearning their day. Yet most advice online is a “top 10” list written to earn clicks, not to fit your shop.

My Shop Check works differently. You describe how your shop actually runs — your accounting system, your team, your must-have workflows, your budget — and a rules-based engine checks that against a database of verified, dated, source-linked vendor facts. Products that can’t meet a hard requirement are eliminated with the reason shown. The rest are scored transparently.

When the evidence is unclear, we say “unknown” and hand you the exact question to ask the vendor. When two products genuinely tie, we say that too. The goal is simple: that you walk into a sales demo already knowing what fits, what doesn’t, and what to verify.
